Privacy Policy

The short version

• We don't collect personal information from children or parents through the app.
• No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no crash reporting.
• Everything the app remembers stays on your device, and we can't see it.
• Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see payment details.

This policy explains how Crumbly: Kids ABC & 123 ("Crumbly", "the app") handles information. Crumbly is made by homeapps ("we", "us"). It's written for parents and guardians, in plain language.

What the app keeps on your device

To remember each child's play, the app stores a small amount of information only on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else:

• A child's first name (optional; you can leave it as "Little baker"), a chosen animal, and an age range (2–3, 4–5 or 6–7). Up to three children.
• Learning progress, such as which letters and numbers a child has practiced.
• The sticker book and the app's settings (learning layers, sound, play-time reminder).

We never ask for photos, birth dates, email addresses, phone numbers, or locations. The app doesn't use the camera, the microphone, contacts, or location services.

What we don't collect

• No personal information of any kind is sent to us.
• No advertising, and no advertising or device identifiers.
• No analytics, usage statistics, or crash reports.
• No accounts or sign-in.
• No selling, renting or sharing of data, because we don't have any.

Third-party services

The app contains no third-party SDKs: no ad networks, analytics or tracking tools. The app doesn't send anything to us or to anyone else. The only time it connects to the internet is when a parent buys or restores the one-time unlock, and that connection is to Apple.

• Apple (App Store and in-app purchase). Downloads and the optional one-time "Full Bakery" purchase are processed by Apple. We don't receive your name or payment details. Apple's handling of this information is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Device backups. If you back up your device with iCloud or a computer, iOS may include the app's on-device information in that backup. This is controlled by your device settings and Apple, not by us.
• Spoken instructions use your device's built-in text-to-speech voice, which runs on the device.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Crumbly is made for young children, and we take the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) seriously. We do not collect, use, or disclose personal information from children. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing for us to share, sell, or delete on our side. If you believe a child has sent us personal information (for example by email), contact us and we'll delete it.

Children in the EU and UK (GDPR)

We follow the principles of the GDPR and UK GDPR for children's data: we collect the minimum possible (nothing), keep things private by default, and never profile children or show them advertising. The little information the app needs stays on your device, under your control:

• To see or change a child's details, open the grown-ups area and choose Edit next to the child.
• To delete a child and their progress, choose Edit and then Delete child. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.

You can also contact us with any privacy question or request, and we'll answer it.

Parental gate

The play area has no ads, no links, and no store buttons. Settings, purchases, and anything that would leave the app (such as an external link or a request to rate the app) are behind a grown-ups-only question that young children can't answer. Buying the unlock asks the question again, right before the purchase.

If you contact us

If you email us, we'll receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you, never for marketing, and we don't share it. We keep support emails only as long as needed to help you, then delete them. Please don't include a child's personal information in an email.

This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics, or trackers, and loads no outside fonts or scripts. It is hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub may record visitors' IP addresses for security, as described in the GitHub General Privacy Statement.

Keeping information

We don't keep any app data, because none is sent to us. Information on your device stays until you delete a child in the grown-ups area or delete the app.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, we'll update this page and the effective date above before the change takes effect. If a change is significant (for example, if we ever needed to collect any information), we'll explain it clearly in the app's update notes and ask for a parent's consent where the law requires it.
